From pinch pots to windchimes to actual board games, our Kids Clay Camp is the place for your budding artist to learn how to create clay items they can play with and show off!
It’s like art class for an entire week! They’ll bring home beautiful, quirky treasures they've shaped themselves and you’ll have a few hours of peace to run errands, work from home or simply relax.
This summer, creativity blossoms, friendships flourish, and your child transforms into a confident young artist.
Meet Katy, your clay camp guide!
Hi, I'm Katy Lynn! I’m an experienced art teacher with 12 years of teaching ceramics in Pennsylvania and abroad. My international residencies included time spent in Southeast Asia, China, and Denmark, honing my pottery skills and teaching experience. My students have ranged in age from 5-75 and I love finding ways to help kids fall in love with pottery. I’m currently teaching K-5 Art Education at North Allegheny School District!
And while my ceramics have earned awards, my favorite prize is seeing the pride and joy in young artists as they create with their own two hands!

Choose your camp week(s):
July 7-11: Sweet Eats & Tasty Treats- Create ice cream cones, cupcakes, cakes and bowls!
July 14-18: Nature Lovers- Create a sloth hanging planter, table tabletop planter with a mini plate, and some wind chimes!
July 21-25: Gamify your Summer- Create a tic-tac-toe board and a mancala board!
AM Sessions: Ages 10-13 (8:30 am – 11:30 am)
PM Sessions: Ages 6-9 (1:30 pm – 4:30 pm)
Sample Camp Schedule
8:30-8:40: Arrival & campers work in sketchbook (provided and created on day 1 of camp) for the first 10 min as everyone arrives.
8:40-9:00: Go over the clay activity for the day
9:00-10:00: Creating time
10:00-10:15: Brain break/snack time
10:15-11:15: Creating time
11:20-11:25: Clean up
11:25-11:30: Pack up and get ready for dismissal
Sweet Eats & Tasty Treats: July 7-11, AM Session
This camp is for ages 10-13 from 8:30 AM - 11:30 AM July 7-11, 2025.
We’ll craft ice cream cones, cupcakes, and bowls out of clay- learning fun techniques to shape, texture, and glaze our creations into mouthwatering masterpieces (for display only, of course!). With a sprinkle of creativity and a whole lot of fun, your camper will build a collection of tasty-looking treasures to take home. No clay experience needed—just a love for all things delicious!
Projects completed will be:

Calling all Nature Lovers! Artists will dig into clay, creating beautiful wind chimes and planters inspired by the great outdoors.
Artists will learn how to shape, carve, and glaze their projects. Watch them fall in love with functional art that sings with the breeze or cradles their favorite plants. With hands-on fun and a touch of nature’s magic, they’ll craft unique pieces to bring home and enjoy. No experience needed—just a passion for nature and creativity!
